Who gets droopy eyelid?
Ranging from natural causes to more serious conditions, the specialits at The Dry Eye & Speciality Center will be best able to pinpoint a source of origin. Most commonly in older adults because of the natural aging process, the levator muscle which is responsible for lifting the eyelid weakens. Keep in mind, though, that people of all ages can be affected by this condition. Children who have unilateral ptosis/bilateral ptosis may also develop amblyopia or lazy eye. This disorder delays & limits their vision and development. Exact cause is mostly unknown, however there is strong linkage between droopy eyelids, traumas and neurological issue.
